The Wedding of The Year
It is Imbolc, February 1, 2275 of the Pagan Year and Georgian New Year as well.
It is the wedding day of Lord Andrew Charles Howard and Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell.
Lord Andrew Charles Howard is surrounded by his father, Lord Charles Andrew JR, two brother’s, Lord Charles Andrew Howard III, Lord Patrick William Howard, his cousins, Lord Richard Edward Howard II, who is his first cousin, Lord Richard William Carey, and Lord Thomas William Howard who are his second cousins.
They are all sitting in the groom room in the chapel out at Norfolk Territory and Lord Charles Andrew JR has designated Lord Richard William Carey as senior Duke in the Howard family after him to escort Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell up the aisle.
Lord Andrew Charles asks his cousin, Lord Richard Edward Howard II to be his best man.
Meanwhile, Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell is in the brides room with her attendants, Lady Patricia Charlene Neville, Lady Charlotte Augusta Stafford, and Lady Patricia Howard.
Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell has asked Lady Keri Lynn Anderson, her cousin to be her maid of honor.
“I do believe that my father has asked Lord Richard William Carey to escort you up the aisle in lieu of your late father. “ Lady Charlotte tells her.
“I like Lord Richard William Carey.” Lady Karissa tells her future sister-in-law, Lady Charlotte.
“I have never seen my little brother so happy.” Lady Charlotte tells Lady Karissa.
“I am happy. You are happy, Lady Charlotte.” Lady Karissa tells her.
“My little brother is very special.” Lady Charlotte tells her, “I knew he would succeed our father as the next Duke of Norfolk Territory on the day he was born.” Lady Charlotte declares.
“All brothers are special to their sisters.” Lady Karissa states.
“Lord Andrew Charles is different from my other two older brothers.” Lady Charlotte tells her.
“How so?” Lady Karissa asks.
“He was destined to become Duke of Norfolk Territory at birth. He was so adorable.” Lady Charlotte tells Lady Karissa.
“My mom wasn’t the maternal type so Lady Patricia and I became his second mothers. I saw him grow up until 2263 when I married.” Lady Charlotte tells Lady Karissa.
“I don’t know how he grew up after that, but from what I have seen. Mom and dad did a pretty good job raising him.” Lady Charlotte tells Lady Karissa.
“I might differ with you there, Lady Charlotte. I am not an aristocrat but I am married to one.” Lady Karissa states. “ Lord Andrew Charles needs to grow up.”
“Lord Andrew Charles is an arrogant spoiled little boy.” Lady Karissa tells her.
“I am afraid she is right sis.” Lady Patricia tells Lady Charlotte.
“Lord Andrew Charles was pampered by both our father and mother.” Lady Patricia tells Lady Charlotte.
“I helped your brother to fulfill his destiny.” Lady Karissa explains, “I can also bring him down the same way I brought him.”
“He needed a child to pave the way for him to succeed to your father’s Dukedom, but our children will have no part in this marriage game or be used as pawns.” Lady Karissa tells Lady Charlotte.
Lady Patricia looks at her watch “ Ladies it is time to proceed to the chapel.” Lady Patricia tells them.
“Lord Richard William Carey is standing outside to walk Lady Karissa to the chapel where she will marry Lord Andrew Charles Howard.
In the front pew sits: Lord Charles Andrew JR, Lady Patricia, Lord Charles Andrew Howard III, Lady Victoria, Lord Patrick William and Lady Pauline.
In the second pew sits: Lady Suzanne Howard, Lord Frederick William Howard III, Lord Thomas William Howard along with Lord Richard William Carey later on.
The doors open up and they bridal march starts to play and one by one the bridesmaids start to walk up the aisle, followed by Lady Keri Lynn Andersen, and finally everyone stands as Lord Richard William Carey walks Lady Karissa up the aisle.
Finally, Lord Richard William with Lady Karissa on his arm reaches the altar and he places Lady Karissa’s hand into Lord Andrew Charles' hand and he walks back to his pew and joins his cousins.
Lord Andrew Charles plights his love and troth to Lady Karissa and she looks at him and she does the same and Lord Andrew Charles places his grandmother’s wedding ring on her finger.
It is a beautiful white gold band with three diamonds that was given to her by Lord Andrew Charles’ grandfather when they married in 2208.
Lord Andrew Charles looks at his bride and he tells her “ I will love you forever. I know that you only love me and your own way, but it’s my wish that one day that you will love me too.”
Lady Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and says, “I love you Andrew Charles as you have given my daughter of my dreams.”
“Our daughter is also my heiress.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Outside of the chapel Lord Andrew Charles takes Lady Karissa hand in his and he raises their hands up in the air in victory.
Lord Charles Andrew JR smiles at his youngest son, Lord Andrew Charles and his bride, Lady Karissa Elizabeth standing outside of the door of the chapel at Norfolk Estate.
Lord Andrew Charles hands Lady Karissa a title and deed and she asks, “What is this Andrew Charles?”
“It is your wedding present.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Lady Karissa looks at the picture with the title and deed and it is the new home Lord Andrew Charles promised to give her.
Lady Karissa smiles and says, “I will christen her Beltane Manor.”
Beltane Manor becomes their new home; it is situated between Norfolk Territory and Bedford Territory.”
Lord Richard William Carey helped Lord Andrew Charles to find Beltane Manor in Bedford Territory which is Lady Karissa’s favorite territory primarily because Lord Richard William is Duke of Bedford Territory.
Lord Richard William Carey takes Lord Andrew Charles to see the manor and it is owned by one gentleman and his wife whose children don’t want the manor and they want to move into a retirement community and Lord Andrew Charles with the help of Lord Richard William gets a good deal on the manor for 120, 000 credits.
Lord Andrew Charles tells the gentleman “It is worth far more than 120, 000 credits. I want you to live comfortably and I will give you 150, 000 credits for it.”
The manor comes fully furnished and Lord Richard William and Lord Andrew Charles with the couple who owned it walk around in it and Lord Andrew Charles says, “Lady Karissa will love it. She can redecorate it if she wants too.”
Lord Andrew Charles and Lady Karissa move into Beltane Manor right after they are married and they wait to take their honey-moon until after their child is born.
Lady Karissa is well content with Beltane Manor. It is surrounded by a garden, a man made lake, and not within walking distance is a shopping mall including an animal shelter.
Beltane Manor is not far from Star-Fleet Academy where Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley and Lt. Richard Williams is sharing a dorm together.
Lady Karissa loves the garden out at Beltane Manor the most and she calls it her “Hidden Garden” based on the novel “The Secret Garden” written by British-American, Frances Hodgson Burnett.
She spends a lot of time gardening out in her garden and making sure it is taken care of and while she is in her garden she starts to sing and both Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William Carey can hear her as she sings.
They stand together outside the garden as they listen to Lady Karissa sing and they look at each other “She is the happiest while she is out in her garden.”
Lady Karissa walks outside of her garden door and she looks at them ‘“How long have you been standing here?”
“Oh! Not long.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her “Lord Richard William and I were just listening to you sing.”
Lady Karissa looks at them “ I have rules for my garden. If the door is open. Anyone may come in, but if the door is closed and unlocked you must ask to come in.” Lady Karissa tells them.
“Have the mason come out and close up the secret entrance to the garden. I only want one entrance and exit.” Lady Karissa asks.
“It will be as you wish.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Lady Karissa tells them they may come into her garden and they walk in and to their surprise the garden is alive and in full bloom.
The roses won’t bloom until June.
“I have planted white roses to remember your noble ancestor, Lord John Howard, Duke of Norfolk, Red Roses to remember King Henry VII and his family, and pink, yellow, and ivory roses as I love their fragrances.” Lady Karissa tells him.
Lord Andrew Charles notices the other flowers in the garden and he smiles, “Lilac, pansies, carnations, and daffodils.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
‘I have planted a mimosa tree over there. Their blossoms smell like peaches when they bloom.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“I have plans to start a small vegetable garden with carrots, and other vegetables.” Lady Karissa explains.
“One corner will become a children’s garden where the children can play and grow.” Lady Karissa tells them.
“This child is very active now.” Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.
“My heiress.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her proudly “My father is overjoyed he can’t contain himself.”
“I hate what my two worthless brothers have done to my father.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
“Keep your brother’s out of my sight or your father will be minus two sons.” Lady Karissa warns him “ I will murder them with my own hands.”
“I don’t care how ugly their wives might be, it is no excuse or reason I should say not to bed with them.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“I have the remedy. They can bag them, feel them, finger them and fuck them and forget them until next time. Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles.
“Does it work?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.
“It worked in high school, will it work now? I can’t say.” Lady Karissa tells him.
“They are too old to believe in the stork.” Lady Karissa tells him.
Lord Richard William starts to laugh “ I guess they didn’t want a child.”
“They are the sorriest lot of men I have ever seen in my life.” Lady Karissa confesses.
“I don’t want to seem inhospitable but they are not welcome at Beltane Manor.” Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles “When Lady Elizabeth gets older enough. You may take her to Norfolk Estate to see her Uncles.”
Lady Karissa, Lord Richard William and Lord Andrew Charles spend the rest of the day out in Lady Karissa’s garden at Beltane Manor.
