:The Trip to Clarence Territory
Lady Samhain Wilhelmina Charlene Howard is Duchess of Clarence Territory. She is the second child and daughter and heir presumptive to The Dukedom of Norfolk Territory after Lady Elizabeth, her eldest sister, but she is Duchess of Clarence Territory in her own right as she is the second child of the reigning Duke of Norfolk Territory.
Lady Samhain was born on The Pagan New Year of 2276 but the Georgian Year of 2275 out at Beltane Manor, thus she was given the name of the Pagan Sabbat she was born on along with the middle names of her great-great-grandfather, Lord Frederick William, and her great-grandfather and grandfather, Charlene and the surname of her father, Lord Andrew Charles Howard.
Shortly after the birth of her youngest brother, Lord Albert Edward, Duke of Kent Territory, Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa "It's time that Lady Samhain takes a tour of Clarence Territory."
"She is 9 years old now." Lord Andrew Charles explains, " I have asked Lord Richard Edward II and Lord Richard William Carey to accompany Lady Samhain and you to Clarence Territory, and you will be joined by Lord Frederick William and Lord Thomas William along with my brother's, Lord Patrick William and Lord Charles Andrew III."
"Dad, wants Lady Samhain to wear her cornet on her head." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa "I would appreciate it if you wear the Howard Tiara on your head at the same time." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa.
The last time Lady Karissa even wore the tiara was when Lord Andrew Charles and she ascended to the Dukedom of Norfolk Territory ten years before and she looks at Lord Andrew Charles and she says, " I will wear it if you insist."
"Dad, wants Lady Samhain to wear the Clarence cornet. The last person to wear this cornet was Prince Albert Victor Christian Edward, the eldest son of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra of Denmark." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Lady Samhain is dressed in a new dress for the tour to Clarence Territory and Lady Karissa wears the dress that she wore on the day she became Duchess of Norfolk Territory and Lord Richard William Carey wear his coronet for the Dukedom of Bedford Territory and Lord Andrew Charles walks Lady Karissa with Lady Samhain and Lady Caroline Matilda and Lord Albert Edward and she tells Lord Andrew Charles " Barbara will take care of Lady Bess and Lord Anthony."
Lord Andrew Charles helps Lady Karissa and the children climb into the carriage and he tells Lord Richard William Carey "Listen here, My Duchess and my Duchess of Clarence and Duke of Kent in this carriage along with your heiress, don't let anyone get near this carriage."
"Listen here Lord Andrew Charles. I won't let anyone get near this carriage." Lord Richard William tells him.
Lord Andrew Charles sees Lady Karissa and the children off in The Howard carriage and they drive down the driveway of Beltane Manor.
The carriage starts to travel through Norfolk Territory and the people start to line the streets of Norfolk and they see Lady Karissa and the children with her accompanied by Lord Richard William Carey and Lord Richard Edward Howard II, both cousins of Lord Andrew Charles Howard and Lord Richard William Carey gives Lady Karissa his hand and he helps her to stand up and with the children they wave to the people.
The carriage travels through Norfolk Territory and the carriage travels down the street of Norfolk Territory and they pass through the streets of Wessex where Lord Richard Edward II is Duke.
Lord Richard Edward Howard II is wearing the coronet of Wessex and he stands and waves to his people.
In front of the carriage is Lord Frederick William Howard III and in the back of the carriage is Lord Thomas William Howard.
The entourage pulls through the streets of Wessex Territory and they come through Sussex as well and they are greeted by Lord John Beaufort and it is the first time Lord Charles Beaufort meets Lady Karissa and the children.
Lord Richard William Carey gets out of the Howard carriage wearing his coronet and they bow to each other " I am Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory and this is Lady Karissa Howard, Duchess of Norfolk and her children, Lady Samhain, Duchess of Clarence Territory, Lady Caroline Matilda, and Lord Albert Edward, Duke of Kent Territory." Lord Richard William Carey explains.
"Welcome to my territory. I received a message from His Grace that you were traveling through and he asked me to see that you safe passage." Lord Charles explains.
Lord Charles Beaufort sees The Howard entourage through Sussex Territory and the carriage pulls on it's way to Clarence Territory.
Finally, The Howard entourage enters the territory of Clarence and Lord Frederick William, Lord Patrick William, Lord Thomas William and Lord Charles Andrew III are on their guard.
People start to line the streets of Clarence to see a glimpse of their Duchess who is only 9 year old but she is still their Duchess and they want to meet and greet her.
Lord Richard William Carey stands up and he offers his hand to Lady Karissa who is helps Lady Samhain to stand and Lord Richard William calls " I present to your, Good People of Clarence, Her Grace, Lady Samhain Wilhelmina Charlene Howard, Duchess of Clarence Territory."
Lady Samhain smiles at her people and she waves to her people and despite Lord Andrew Charles orders Lady Karissa counter orders it and the Howard carriage stops and Lord Richard William steps out of the carriage and he gives Lady Karissa his hand and she helps Lady Samhain to climb out of the carriage, but close behind her is Lord Charles Andrew III and Lord Patrick William her paternal Uncles.
Lord Frederick William and Lord Thomas William watch as the people walk to greet Lady Karissa with Lady Samhain and a little girl with her mother walks up to Lady Karissa and Lady Samhain and they curtsy and the lady says "Please your Grace, accept our present."
Lady Samhain smiles and Lady Karissa nods to her and she accepts the home-made quilt and she smiles and says "Thank you for the lovely quilt." and Lord Charles Andrew III who was given the purse of credits steps forward and gives the little girl and her a gift of 50 credits.
Lord Richard William presents Lord Albert Edward and Lady Caroline Matilda to the people and the town people are even gracious to Lady Caroline Matilda and Lord Albert Edward and give them welcome gifts.
Lord Richard William is over-come with emotion towards Lady Caroline Matilda and Lord Albert Edward who is just a baby and he gives the people who gives the children presents a generous gift of credits out of his money.
Lady Karissa with Lady Samhain walk among the people and they talk to the people and some voice their concerns and needs to Lady Karissa and she assures them that their needs will be taken care and she explains ""I am Lady Samhain 's regent until she turns 18."
"I will write to The United Federation of Planets and I will see that you are taken care of." Lady Karissa promises.
All of sudden the musicians come out and they start playing some medieval music and Lady Karissa with Lady Samhain join the people as they dance and sing and Lord Richard William takes Lady Caroline Matilda out to join her mother and sister as they place dance among the people.
Lord Frederick, Lord Thomas, and Lord Richard Edward II join the people that are dancing and they all have a good time.
They are singing and having a good time and Lord Richard William and Lady Karissa dance together and they smile at each other.
"I don't understand why Lord Frederick William didn't appoint Lord Frederick William II, Duke of Clarence after his second son, become his heir." Lady Karissa asks.
My great-great-grandfather was a complicated man, Lady Karissa. I don't think he was very generous with his titles as Lord Andrew Charles is." Lord Richard William Carey states.
"I do know, that our great-great-aunt, Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard was the Marchioness of Pembroke Territory and she was the last one that held the title before you received the title." Lord Richard William states.
Finally, Lady Karissa picks up Lady Samhain and Lord Richard Edward II picks up Lady Caroline Matilda and they head back for the Howard carriage and they climb into the Howard carriage. It turns around and heads back to Beltane Manor.
Lord Richard Edward Howard II is escorted back to Wessex Territory, followed by Lord Thomas William Howard to Northumberland Territory, and followed by Lord Charles Andrew III and Lord Patrick William to the Norfolk Estate and the carriage proceeds to Beltane Manor.
The carriage heads back to Beltane Manor and they finally enter the driveway and Lord Andrew Charles spots the carriage coming up the driveway and he walks out of Beltane Manor to greet the carriage " How did it go?"
"It went very well." Lady Karissa tells Lord Andrew Charles "Lady Samhain was well received and she received a lot of gifts from the people."
Lady Karissa gives Lord Albert Edward to Lord Andrew Charles "Please take your son, Lord Albert Edward and ask Barbara to feed and change him for me.. I must take care of Lord Anthony, Lady Elizabeth, Lady Caroline and Lady Samhain." Lady Karissa tells him.
Lord Andrew Charles takes Lord Albert Edward who is sleeping and he kisses him " I missed our son." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"Did you expect me to leave our baby with you when I had to tour Clarence with Lady Samhain. You had Lord Anthony and Lady Elizabeth with you." Lady Karissa explains.
Lady Karissa removes her tiara and Lady Samhain coronet and she carries them and places them back into the vault.
"I am glad to know that Lady Samhain a good first visit." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"I am tired Andrew Charles. Remember I just had our second son, and I still have two more children to go before I have had all the children I am going to have." Lady Karissa states.
"Lady Elizabeth was very good today with Lord Anthony. She read to him today in the library and they played with his toy soldiers." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa.
"Lady Bess is just like you, Andrew Charles. Take a good long look in the mirror and you will see her and you are just a like." Lady Karissa states.
"Lady Elizabeth is a hot-head, and she needs to curb her vicious tongue." Lady Karissa tells him.
"You didn't realize that Lady Elizabeth is just a miniature carbon copy of you in female form." Lady Karissa tells him.
"You two will always butt horns with each other as she is your heiress and she is being raised to take over when your time comes to die or abdicate." Lady Karissa tells him.
"One thing I do, Lady Elizabeth will usher in the dawn of a new age on Star Base 12 and within Norfolk Territory and she will lead the way to end male preferred primogeniture that has permeated this society for years." Lady Karissa states.
Lord Andrew Charles says, " I will leave you, Lady Karissa. I know that you are tired."
"Please tell Lord Richard William. I am not to be disturbed." Lady Karissa asks.
"The children are sleeping and they day has been long for me." Lady Karissa explains.
Lord Andrew Charles walks out of the suite where Lady Karissa lives and he heads back towards his own suite.
Lady Karissa takes off her dress and puts on her nightgown on and she walks over to her favorite music and turns it on.
She sits in her french provincial chair in her suite and takes out her favorite book "The Secret Garden."
