The Arrival of Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell

Five years before in May 1, 2270, 15 year old Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell boards the USS Republic from Post War World III Planet Earth where she is left a war orphan and her care-takers drive her to San Francisco to board the USS Republic along with 499 other war orphans that lost their families due to radiation poisoning and the side effects.

Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell is 15 years old and her care-takers can no longer take care of her and they are having a hard time providing for their own children due to a food shortage and with food being rationed out by food coupons can no longer support her.

Karissa is told that she is being transported to a relocation program administered by the United Federation of Planets and Star Fleet Command and with that Karissa starts to pack up with her only things she can carry with her in her suitcases and overnight case.

The Lewis drive her to San Francisco, California on April 29 and on May 1, 2274 she is dropped off at Star Fleet Central and she climbs out their car and with her suitcases in her hands. She starts to walk towards the USS Republic.

Inside Star Fleet Central sit 499 other war-orphans waiting to board the USS Republic.

They are just like her- a war orphan, and alone.

All the war orphans lost their families to the winds of World War III and its effects.

Captain Decker is a kind, elderly man who has been with Star Fleet and The United Federation of Planets since it’s beginning and he walks out and he introduces himself to all of his waiting passengers and explains, “My dear ladies and gentlemen. Our trip is five year long. We will make your journey as pleasant as possible. “

“I have a crew of 225 that will take care of you. On board my Starship you will find a library, a mess hall that will serve three meals a day, snacks upon request, a commissary fully stocked with what you need, a sick-bay with a well trained medical staff, a recreational hall, and a garden.”  Captain Decker explains.

“We will also accommodate your religious beliefs in our chapel.” Captain Decker explains.

“We will be leaving shortly, and my crew will help you find your quarters.” Captain Decker explains, “We won’t be reaching Star Base 10 until April 29, 2274, and Star Base 12 until May 1, 2274, we had a stop-over at Talos IV to pick up some passengers.” Captain Decker explains.

One by one everyone starts to board the USS Republic and the crew of the USS Republic shows all the passengers their quarters.

Yeoman Rand shows Karissa to her quarters and she tells her. “I am Your Yeoman for the journey. If you ever need anything please let me know.”

“Thank you Yeoman Rand.” Karissa tells her and with that Yeoman Rand leaves Karissa to unpack her things.

Karissa takes out her portable radio and turns it on and places the last picture she had of her late fiance, Roy and her on her nightstand.

The USS Republic takes off and she looks out the portal as she leaves War Torn Planet Earth and a United States that was devastated by World War III.

One day she asks where the garden is and a kindly crew member shows her the garden and he shows her how to enter the garden and she walks into the garden.

The garden is in full bloom and smells of roses, lilac, and it has little benches that you can sit in and just relax and Karissa sits on one of them.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley who has boarded from Talos IV where he attended his families funeral and where they were slaughtered by Kudos the Executioner walks into the garden but he doesn’t notice Karissa until he starts to walk around.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley sees Karissa sitting by herself in the garden and he smiles “ Good Day. I didn’t think anyone would be in the garden.”  Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells her.

“I often come to the garden. It’s my only comfort.” Karissa explains, “You.”

“I love this garden. It reminds me of my late mother’s garden she once had on Talos IV.” Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells her.

“You lost your family too, Lt. Riley?” Karissa asks.

“Yes. They were slaughtered by Kudos on Talos IV. You see Talos IV like so many places started to experience a famine.  Kudos took it into his hands to eliminate those common people.” Lt.Kevin Thomas Riley explains.

“I was attending Star-Fleet Academy when I heard the news that my father, mother, and little sister were all executed.” Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells Karissa.

“They took my father out first and a firing squad killed him and they came and got my mother and sister and in front of where my poor father laid they killed them too.” Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells her.

“I am so sorry Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley. I lost my own family due to the long term effect of radiation poisoning.  I saw my fiance down from it when the radiation caused to succumb from prostate cancer, and then I watched my mother die of it, and soon after her I lost my father. The people who were taking care of me could no longer feed me as they started to ration out food on Planet Earth.” Karissa tells him.

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley and Karissa are drawn together as they share a similar experience and they spend all their time together as The USS Republic travels towards Star Base 10 and Star Base 12.

Finally on May 1, 2274 and on schedule The USS Republic orbits around Star Base 12 and the shuttle craft start taking passengers down to Star Base 12.

It is Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley who escorts Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell to meet Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, and Lord Richard William Carey.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley with Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell on his arm walks up to where Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR and Lord Richard William Carey are standing and standing by his father’s side is Lord Andrew Charles Howard.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley is greeted by both Lord Charles Andrew JR and Lord Richard William Carey and they say “ We were so sorry to hear about your family Lt. Riley.”

“Thank you Lord Charles Andrew JR and Lord Richard William.” Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley tells them “ I would like to present Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell to you. She is a new arrival to Star Base 12 from Post War World III Planet Earth where she lost her family.”

Karissa knows about royal protocol and she gives them a curtsy and Lord Charles Andrew JR helps to rise to her feet.

Lord Andrew Charles standing by his father starts to feel his heartbeat and he smiles at Karissa but she takes no notice of him, but it is Kevin who asks Lord Richard William to escort Karissa out to Madame’s Boarding House.

Lord Richard William Carey is tall, handsome, rugged, and has a pleasing disposition and he is well loved and respected out at Bedford Territory.

Lord Richard William Carey is the senior Duke on Star Base 12 next to Lord Charles Andrew JR  by virtue of being the great-great-grandson of Lord Frederick William Howard through his daughter, Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard.

Lord Richard William Carey became Duke of Bedford Territory after both his father and grandfather died in 2270 and he became Duke of Bedford Territory at the age of 20 years old.

Lord Richard William Carey suffered heartbreak as well back in 2268 when he was turned down by Lady Henrietta Rose Clifford who was the daughter of Lord Roger Clifford, 5th Baron Clifford and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Ros but when Lord Roger Clifford found out that Lord Richard William Carey was the great-great-grandson of Lord Frederick William Howard. He told his daughter he would rather not be associated with the Howard family and for that reason she refused his marriage proposal.

Lord Richard William Carey and Karissa travel towards Madame’s Boarding House. He feels attracted toward Karissa too.

Later on when Karissa becomes Lady Karissa she reveals to Lord Richard William Carey “ I was attracted to but I didn’t know how you felt or what you had been through.”

Lord Richard William tells Lady Karissa about his first love that he lost in 2268 and Lady Karissa shares about her first love that died due to the long term side effects from radiation poisoning in 2270.

Finally, The carriage arrives at Madame Valois country manor that she has turned into a Boarding House for young women as her late husband, Lord Jacques and she had no children and she had always wanted children, but they had none.

Lord Richard William Carey carries Karissa’ s suitcases up to the door and  Lord Richard William Carey knocks on the door and Madame Valois who is a descendant of Prince Charles of Valois who was the third son of King Phillip IV of France and it was his descendant Prince Philip, Duke of Orléans whose name was Louis Valois  that traveled with Lord Patrick William Howard back in 2153 on board the USS Excalibur.

When Monsieur Louis Valois heard that the Eiffel Tower with the Palace of Versailles and The Cathedral of Notre Dame had been destroyed during the May Day terror he started to cry and declared “ I hope that sorry bastard gets what he deserves.”

Odin answered his prayer and he sent in Flint the Immortal and he destroyed Colonel Green in the mountains of Montana by the Ebola Virus.

Odin is faithful to his people when he hears he answers and Flint The Immortal was the answer to get rid of Colonel Green.

No one can ever replace The Eiffel Towel, The Cathedral of Notre Dame, or The Palace of Versailles along with Ben Big, The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, or St Paul’s Cathedral.

All Lord Patrick could do is take Monsieur Louis into his arms and let him cry and everyone else join him.

“I am sorry The Palace of Versailles that King Louis XIV built and the loss of The Cathedral of Notre Dame.” Lord Patrick tells Monsieur Louis.

“I am sorry for your heritage loss to Lord Patrick Howard. Gone is The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Hampton Court Palace, Greenwich Palace, Buckingham Palace, and Big Ben.” Monsieur Louis tells Lord Patrick.

“We aren’t the only to suffer loss, think of The Americans that lost the Washington Monument, The Jefferson Memorial, The Lincoln  Memorial, and Mount Vernon where President George Washington lived and was laid to rest.” Lord Patrick  explains.

“What about Russia?” Lord Patrick asks, “Gone is St. Petersburg Palace, and their beautiful heritage.” Lord Patrick William explains.

“All we can do is pray to our Deities and ask them for strength.” Lord Patrick William tells him.

Madame Valois walks out and she smiles “ What brings you to my humble abode, Lord Carey?” Madame Valois.

“I have brought  Mademoiselle Karissa Lowell out to you Madame Valois.” Lord Richard William Carey explains.

“Thank you for bringing Mademoiselle Karissa to us.” Madame tells him.

“Madame if Mademoiselle Karissa is ever in need of anything. Please let me know and I will see that she gets it.” Lord Richard William tells her.

Lord Richard William Carey starts to walk back to his carriage but before he climbs into it he turns around and he smiles at Karissa.

Karissa is tired from her long journey and all she wants to do is get settled into her new home on Star Base 12.

Madame and Karissa walk into her home and Madame tells Karissa the rules of the manor and Karissa has no problem following rules.

Madame Valois gives Karissa the best suite in her manor with a view of the garden that her beloved Pierre started but once he died. She let it go as it reminded her of the only man she would ever love.

Karissa asks “Have you ever heard of the novel “The Secret Garden” written by Frances Hodgson Burnett.”

“I may have heard of it.” Madame answers, “but I have never read it.”

“The Secret Garden is about a garden that was locked up as it reminded Lord Archibald Craven about his beloved Lady Lily who takes a fall out of a tree and it brings on her labor with their only son, Lord Colin in 1900.” Karissa explains.

“Lord Archibald Craven locks up the garden, throws away the key and he blames the garden, Lord Colin, his son, and God for taking Lady Lily away from him.” Karissa tells her.

“Ten years later his niece Mary Lennox comes to England and out to Misselthwaite Manor and a robin shows her where the garden is and she finds the key and with the help of Dickon Sowerby. They bring the garden back to life and it also helps Lord Colin and restores his health.” Karissa tells Madame.

“Lord Archibald Craven gets a dream and Lady Lily is out in her garden and she leads him to Misselthwaite Manor and when he returns to Misselthwaite Manor he walks out into the garden and it’s in full bloom and beautiful but the biggest miracle is that his son, Lord Colin is fully well and he is running and playing with Lady Mary and Dickon.” Karissa tells her.

“Lord Archibald realizes how wrong he was to lock up the garden and he gives it to Lady Mary and promises her he will never lock it up again.” Karissa tells her.

Madame looks at Karissa “ Will you take care of my late Pierre garden?” Madame asks.

Karissa smiles and answers, “It will be my pleasure.” and when Karissa takes over the garden she restores the garden and it becomes beautiful and Madame can’t believe her eyes.

Lord Andrew Charles on a mission travels out to Madame’s Boarding House to see Karissa and Karissa receives him out in the garden.

Karissa isn’t really interested in Lord Andrew Charles despite calling him “ Lord Preppy, Parrot, and Pain up her rear-end” he still continues to pursue her.

Lord Andrew Charles Howard is persistent when it comes to winning Karissa. She is what he wants the most and he is out to win, court, and marry her.

Lord Andrew Charles must find out what Karissa really wants the most and if he can give to it he will win her.

Karissa doesn’t tell him for a while until one day they are sitting out in the garden and they start to talk to each other “ There must be something you want Karissa?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.

“I want a lot of things, Lord Andrew Charles. I wasn’t born with a gold spoon up my rear-end like you.” Karissa tells him.

“What is the one thing you really want the most and I will see that you get it?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.

“It is not a material thing, Lord Andrew Charles.” Karissa answers.

“It requires two people to give it to me. I haven't found the right person to give it to me.” Karissa  tells him.

“What is this thing you really want?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.

“I will tell you. I want a daughter that I can name Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane.” Karissa explains, “My beloved Roy and I were going to name our daughter if we had married this name.”

Lord Andrew Charles looks at Karissa “ No man can guarantee you a daughter on the first try.”  Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

“I promise no man my hand in marriage until he delivers me a daughter.” Karissa states, “I don’t care if he is a commoner or aristocrat.”

“Wouldn’t you be happy with just a healthy child?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.

“I would be happy with the man who gives me my daughter first, and then I will give him four more children after she is born.” Karissa explains.

“My child has to be legitimate as the child would become the heir/heiress to Dukedom of Norfolk Territory.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

“I would have to have the promise of marriage.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

“Lord Andrew Charles. We just met each other and I am just telling you what my heart yearns for and desires.” Karissa explains.

“You realize that we would have to bed each other to create this dream daughter of our’s and I will gladly let you name her and all of our children.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

“Lord Preppy. I know that we would have to bed each other and tango.  Humans are not asexual and we can’t reproduce ourselves.” Karissa tells him.

“The biggest question is how do you perform as a lover?” Karissa asks “I don’t like quickies, high school sex or Slam Blam and Thank you Ma’am.”

“I have had no complaints, but I have to be honest. I haven’t made love in a long while as I wouldn’t bed one of the wenches down here on Star Base 12 and I couldn’t even get an erection with one of them.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

“Oh! So you think you could get an erection with me and how long can you keep it?” Karissa asks.

“I don’t know, but I will try to keep it as long as I can.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.

Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and she admits after she becomes Duchess that  Lord Andrew Charles, Lord Richard William Carey and Lord David William Beck are three most handsome men on Star Base 12.

When Lord Andrew Charles asks Karissa to spend the weekend without at Balmoral Manor she agrees.
