Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley -Karissa's Best Friend

t. Kevin Thomas Riley was the son of Thomas Riley and Patricia Edwards and he was born in Fort Worth, Texas before World War III broke out on Planet Earth in the United States, but they soon relocated to Rigel Seven as food became scarce and food started to be rationed out in The State of Texas.

The Riley's boarded the USS Yorktown in 2260 and arrived on Talos IV 2265 and they settled into their life.

Kevin Thomas Riley was born in 2245, and he educated on Talso IV with his sister, Karen who was born in 2250.

Thomas and Patricia Riley didn't see any trouble brewing on Talso IV in until The Summer of 2269, when Rigel Seven suffered a similar famine on Talso IV and the governor of Talos IV, Kudos took matter into his own hands and decided who would receive what food was available and who wouldn't receive it and he thought it was alright to play god.

Kevin Thomas Riley left to go to Star Base 12 to attend Starfleet Academy in 2263 and everything was going well up until the summer of 2270, when he received the news at Starfleet Academy that his entire family had been executed by Kudos.

Star-Fleet Academy granted him leave to travel to  Talso IV and take care of his family's funeral and take care of the family finances.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley arrived back on Talso IV in 2270 and he had a lot of family matters to take care of since he lost his family to Kudos on Talos IV

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley was a bitter young man and he wanted to see Kudos brought to justice, but before the United Federation of Planets and Star Fleet Command could arrest and bring Kudos and his daughter to justice he avoided arrest and fled Talos IV.

Once Lt Kevin Thomas Riley settled his family matters he boarded the USS Republic from Rigel Seven to take him back to Star Base 12 and on board the USS Republic he met Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell on the USS Republic headed for Star Base 12 from War-Torn Planet Earth and the after the effects of World War III.

Planet Earth started to suffer famine and pestilence in 2268, but it didn't get worse until 2270 when every state was giving out food coupons as they had to ration out food.

Food was scarce and food coupons were given out once a month and families had to make do with only food once a month.

Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell boarded the USS Republic in May of 2270 and Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley met in 2274 when she was nearly 18 years old.

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley met her in the garden on board the USS Republic and he didn't even know she was there until he spotted her sitting in the garden reading.

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley and Karissa had a lot in common as they had both lost their families.

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley and Karissa started to spend all their time together and they ate their meals together.

Finally in June of 2274, The USS Republic orbited around Star Base 12 and they transported the remainder of the passengers to the new home of Star Base 12, where the two premier Dukes on Star Base 12 were waiting to greet the new settlers that had come to live on Star Base 12.

The two premier Dukes were Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, Duke of Norfolk Territory and Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR was the grandson of Lord Frederick William Howard and Lord Richard William Carey was the great-great-grandson of Lord Frederick William as Lord Richard William Carey great-grandmother was the sister of his father, Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR and both were children of Lord Frederick William Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk Territory.

When the doors of the shuttle-craft opened up Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley offered Karissa his arm and they walked out of the shuttle-craft together and he walked over with her on his arm and he said, " Lord Howard and Lord Richard William. I would like you to meet Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell."

Standing with Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR was his youngest son, Lord Andrew Charles and he smiles at Karissa, but she takes no notice as he is smiling as Kevin asks Lord Richard William Carey to see Karissa to Madame's Boarding house out in Bedford Territory.

Lord Richard William Carey sees Karissa safely to Madame Boarding House and he returns to Bedford Manor.

Lord Richard William Carey and Karissa have a lot in common; they both suffer the loss of their first loves.

Lord Richard William Carey first love, Lady Henrietta Rose Clifford turned him down for the sake of her father, and Karissa lost her beloved fiance, Roy L. Mock due to radiation poisoning.

Lord Richard William Carey is drawn to Karissa, but he has no idea how she feels about him until on her wedding day to Lord Andrew Charles Howard.

Kevin Thomas Riley is also drawn to Karissa, but he is the studious type and he is absorbed in his studies at Star-Fleet Academy and trying to catch up with his studies since the execution of his family of Talos IV.

Kevin Thomas Riley is a very introverted young man, who doesn't make friends easily and he often keeps to himself even in the library at Starfleet Academy.

Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley shares a dorm with two other students with similar traits and they all get along together.

Karissa walks often to Starfleet Academy and she sits on top of the hill that overlooks StarFleet Academy and sits under a tall, oak tree sitting on a blanket listening to her music and reading her novel.

It is there that Kevin sees Karissa for the second time and he walks up to where she is sitting and smiles, " Hello Karissa."

"Kevin Thomas Riley. How nice to see you again?" Karissa tells him.

"I have been so busy with trying to catch up with my studies since my family was executed on Rigel Seven. I don't believe I will ever catch up." Kevin tells her.

"You are very negative." Karissa tells him, "You have a dream now turn it into reality."

Kevin looks at her and asks, " Are you seeing anyone?"

"No Kevin, I am not seeing anyone." Karissa tells him, "When I am not in the garden at Madame's you can find me here."

"I would have come out to see you, but I have fallen behind in my studies and I have so many exams to take." Kevin states.

"I am sure when you are less busy, you will travel out to Madame's." Karissa tells him.

"Have you signed up for the autumn semester?" Kevin asks.

"I have Kevin and I am taking three classes." Karissa starts, "I am taking Pediatrics 100, Medical Terminology 100, and Social Science 100."

"You have some good professors teaching those courses and in fact, Lt. Commander David Beck is teaching Medical Terminology 100." Kevin tells her.

"I am taking navigation 202, Constructional Engineering 203, and Drafting 202." Kevin states.

"We eat lunch together on campus and we can attend the dances together." Kevin tells her.

"I would like that very much, Kevin. Karissa tells him and they spend the day together at Star-Fleet Academy talking and sharing a basket of food that Madame prepared for her to take with her in case she missed lunch.

"You know Karissa, I don't believe that Star-fleet will ever apprehend Kudos and his daughter." Kevin tells her.

"Kevin, Karma has his number and she knows where he is and she will handle him." Karissa states.

"There have been other monsters such as Kudos in history, Napoleon Bonaparte, Hitler, and Genghis Khan and they were all brought down and where they go after they are judged is because of their crimes against humanity." Karissa explains.

"Do you like it out at Madame's?" Kevin asks.

"I do like it out there." Karissa answers, "I have a garden and Madame told me that I may have a pet."

"I noticed that Lord Richard William Carey is drawn to you." Kevin tells her.

"I have had one conversation and visit from Lord Carey since I moved into Madame's Boarding House and he is a Duke and I am a commoner." Karissa explains.

"I come from an ordinary family like you, Kevin and I don't think I would be happy becoming an aristocrat." Karissa tells him.

"Most of the occupants on Star Base 12 come from the aristocrat families that first settled on Star Base 12." Kevin explains.

"There are plenty of ordinary people attending Starfleet Academy." Kevin tells her.

Kevin and Karissa spend the day together sitting on top of the hill overlooking Starfleet Academy.
