Like Father, Like Daughter

Lord Andrew Charles Howard, fifth Duke of Norfolk Territory was one of the most powerful aristocrats on Star Base 12.

 

He was the great-great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard through the paternal line of Lord Frederick William Howard and his second son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior.

 

Lord Andrew Charles Howard was 24 year old when he became Duke of Norfolk Territory in June of 2275 one month after the birth of his eldest child, Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane who would succeed him in time.

 

Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR told his first and eldest grandchild, Lady Elizabeth that she was born to govern Norfolk Territory so she grew up believing it.

 

As Lady Elizabeth grew up she started butting horns with her father, Lord Andrew Charles Howard and with her Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR would side with his granddaughter on almost everything.

 

Lord Andrew Charles couldn’t bear to see a miniature copy of himself in female form and Lady Elizabeth was just like Lord Andrew Charles as she grew up.

 

Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane Howard grew up just like her father did but she was far worse than he ever was- she had fire, spirit, and determination as well being rebellious, defiant, but she was not reckless like Lord Andrew Charles.

Every time Lord Andrew Charles would see Lady Elizabeth she would remind him of himself, and she wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion not with her grandfather standing behind her and supporting her.

 

Lord Andrew Charles Howard even had a second problem  and it was when Lady Elizabeth and her second cousin, Lord Richard Edward Howard III started to court each other  while they were 15 and 16.

 

They were both the great-grandchildren of Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior and Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR saw the young couple as the saviors of the Howard dynasty and carried on the Howard name through Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior.

Lord Richard Edward Howard III was the grandson of Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior and Lady Antoinette Bourbon and he was the younger brother of Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR.

 

Lord Richard Edward Howard II was the first cousin of Lord Andrew Charles Howard and he was created Duke of Wessex Territory on Star Base 12.

Lord Andrew Charles looks at his first cousin once removed and his daughter and tells his cousin, Lord Richard Edward Howard II, “We are already related through our fathers.” 

 

“I can’t debate that with you, Lord Andrew Charles, but if our great-great- grandfather were still alive he would approve of this match between our children.” Lord Richard Edward II states.

 

“Have you noticed that Lady Samhain is growing attached to her second cousin once removed, Lord David William Beck II?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.

 

“Someone needs to bridge the gap between The Howard’s and Beck’s and if it is Lady Samhain and Lord David William Beck II, all the better.” Lord Richard Edward II explains.

 

“I know that our grandfather didn’t like Lord Beck, but then again he let his youngest son’s daughter marry Lord William Beck.” Lord Richard Edward explains.

 

“I think it was because Lady Penelope Rich was a relative of Lady Margaret Penelope Devereux.” Lord Andrew Charles states.

“The Devereux came with Lord Patrick William Howard in 2153 and his name was Lord Walter Devereux and he was Lady Penelope’s brother.” Lord Andrew Charles states.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR wish came true in June of 2294, when both of his two eldest granddaughters married their cousins, and Lord Richard Edward Howard III is the grandson of his younger brother, Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior and Lord David William Beck II is the great-grandson of his youngest brother, Lord Edwin William Howard.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR was presented at his granddaughters' double wedding at Beltane Manor when they married their cousins and never again the Howard and Beck family separated  as it was by Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior.
