Lady Caroline Matilda Carey, Future Duchess of Bedford Territory
15 months later, Lady Karissa became pregnant with Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory and their first child together and the child is due in June of 2282.
Lord Richard William Carey is delighted that he is becoming a father and he is not a finicky man.
He just wants an heir/heiress to secure his Dukedom that his great-great-great-grandfather started back in 2160.
Lord Thomas Carey had claimed the Western Territory and named it after his beloved Bedford in England and with his wife Lady Margaret Beaufort. They had Lord Phillip Carey who would marry Lady Elizabeth Darcy and they would Lord William Carey who would marry Lord Frederick William's daughter, Lady Sophia Charlotte and they would have Lord George and he would marry Lady Isabella Bourbon and they would have Lord Robert Carey who would marry Lady Lettice Knolly and they would have Lord Richard William and with Lady Karissa. They would have Lady Caroline Matilda Carey in 2282 and Lord Benjamin Lawrence Carey in 2289.
Lord Richard William Carey had a sister, Lady Richenda Wilhelmina Carey who was created Duchess of Plymouth Territory by Lord Andrew Charles along with Lady Richenda Edwina and Lord Fredrica Edwina and Lady Thomasina Wilhelmina Howard. They were the three Duchesses and one Countess that Lord Andrew Charles called to govern territories in the name of Lord Patrick William Howard.
They were all descendants of Lord Patrick William Howard and Lady Margaret Penelope Devereux and their ancestors died together on the field of Bosworth in 1485.
Lord Patrick William Howard's noble ancestor, Lord John Howard, 1st Duke of York and Walter Devereux, 8th Baron Ferrers of Chartley were both loyal Yorkists to King Edward IV and his brother, King Richard III and they died side by side fighting for their sovereign, King Richard III.
Lady Margaret Penelope Devereux and Lord Patrick William Howard were drawn together as they were born into families whose ancestors fought for Lord Richard, Duke of York and his sons, King Edward IV and King Richard III of England and they fell together on Bosworth field.
What grieved them the most is when World War III escalated in 2153 and they had to flee Europe and England along with some other families for their survival, but on May 1, 2153, while on board the USS Excalibur they heard the ECON had launched nuclear bombs and the world was devastated by a monster name Lee Kuan started World War III and with the help of hate-mongers they killed nearly 600 million people and destroyed At precisely 0230.26 hours Eastern Standard Time, on 1 May 2153 (an event later known as the "May Day Horror of '53"), the Eastern Coalition launched a first strike comprised of intercontinental ballistic missiles, bomber attacks, and portable nuclear weapons, against major North American and European cities, combined with a simultaneous Interface viral assault against the New United Nations computer infrastructure.citation needed Much to the surprise of the ECON political leadership, the New United Nations immediately retaliated with nuclear launches of their own, as well as bomber and satellite-based attacks against targets in the Middle East and Asia. Many Pacific nations sided with the Eastern Coalition against the United States when fighting finally broke out. Targets in New England (including Massachusetts), Minnesota, the Rocky Mountains, and the Midwest are hit hard by ECON forces, the U.S. military's defenses along the Canadian border failing utterly. The United States Air Force and United States Army both fought back against the invaders, but lost many fighters and ground soldiers to the enemy.Certain military units were abandoned in enemy territory during the war, including a New United Nations brigade under the command of Colonel Green in Kashmiristan in late May. Finally, the Eastern Coalition's governing palace was destroyed by American forces, killing ECON founder Lee Kuan.
Sovereign nations, including the United States, essentially ceased to exist following the war, the country falling into barbarism, carved up into fiefdoms controlled by competing warlords
A Second power hungry man enters the scene named Colonel Phillip Green.
(including Colonel Green's despotic reign over the Pacific Northwest). Without federal resources to fall back upon, most local governments are unable to feed their own people; chaos and anarchy would reign for generations afterward, well into the 22nd century. The President of the United States, President Mendoza, survived the initial days of the war, but finds herself in command of very little afterwards.
The Siege of Las Vegas was a significant battle in the war, with American forces battling ECON troops for control of the city. The forces of the US troops would eventually prove victorious, defeating the ECON troops there.
In the initial nuclear exchange of World War III, Washington D.C. was completely destroyed, along with three surrounding U.S. states. Some major cities, such as Montreal, were actually spared from nuclear hits during the first rounds of ICBM exchanges.
During fighting in Paris during the war, the Eiffel Tower was destroyed. Additional combat took place in San Francisco, resulting in the destruction of the Coit Tower, among many other structures.
In 2154, one year following the outbreak of hostilities, Colonel Green surprised the surviving United States government by turning up in Alaska at the head of a massive army composed of both New U.N. and ECON soldiers. President Mendoza ordered Green to stand down, but is refused; Green slaughters his way across the continent, culling the "weak" and "impure" and those afflicted with radiation-sickness from humanity's gene pool, killing millions, until finally meeting his demise in Montana from an orbital strike launched by Flint the Immoral.
Humanity eventually turned over a new leaf when a few courageous people began to realize that they could make a difference. Early in the war, weather-control satellites developed by Flint the Immortal begin modifying Earth's ozone layer in an attempt to regenerate it, along with raising the planetary temperature enough to mitigate the effects of the harsh nuclear winter. This proved successful, ultimately reducing the number of potential casualties from the war.
Adrenaline regimens were discovered to be useful in treating radiation sickness after the war; this would later be supplanted by the even more effective Hyronalin therapies in later decades, after the end of the Atomic Age.
The philosophy of Neo-Transcendentalism was founded by Liam Dieghan in response to the war's horrors, seeking to redress the pains of World War III by "returning humanity to a simpler life."
The war culminated circa 2153, when several of Earth's governments met in San Francisco to declare a cease-fire, effectively ending the war.
In the end, most of the world's major governments collapsed, and over 600 million people had died just from the immediate combat.
Lord Patrick William and his weary travelers didn't reach Star Base 12 until 2158 and they wouldn't be able to restart their lives until everyone was settled in their new homes on Star Base 12.
One by one they started to rebuild their lives but the memories of their beloved England, Spain, France, and Scotland remained in their hearts and all they could do was to rename their new homes after their beloved counties they were born in.
The only comfort and peace of mind they received was when the Captain of The USS Excalibur told his weary passengers that Kuan Lee and Colonel Green had been killed and finally a ceasefire had been declared and World War III had finally come to end.
Lord Patrick William and Lady Margaret as Pagans know they don't bow or kneel to their God or Goddesses and they stand on Equal footing and Lord Patrick William calls up to Odin, The Almighty father and he calls out "Oh! Thank you Odin for finally bringing this war to an end."
The other weary passengers also gave thanks to their Deities as The USS Excalibur heads for Star Base 12 and they orbit around Star Base 12 in 2158 and it takes the new settlers on Star Base 12 until 2163 to rebuild their lives and all of them finally settle down and start their families.
The first one to have a child is Lord Patrick William Howard and Lady Margaret Penelope Devereux with the birth of Lord Frederick William Howard in 2165 and soon he is followed by other couples who have their first child one is Lord Edmund Beaufort with his wife, she gives birth to Lady Jeanette Virginia Beaufort who is born in 2167 along with Lord Thomas Carey who would marry Lord Edmund Beaufort's sister, Lady Margaret Beaufort and they would have Lord William Carey who would married Lord Frederick William and Lady Jeanette's only daughter, Lady Sophia Charlotte. They were first cousins through their father and mother.
Lord Frederick William would marry Lady Jeanette Virginia Beaufort the niece of Lady Margaret Beaufort as her brother was his father in law, Lord Edmund Beaufort.
Lord Edmund Beaufort had married Lady Joan Holland and his sister, Lady Margaret Beaufort along with her husband, Lord Thomas Carey along with so many courageous travelers finally started their families and the population on Star Base 12 started to grow in numbers.
All the families came together to give their thanks to the Gods and Goddesses in a Mabon Dinner on September 21, 2180 and they gave thanks being to live and they gave thanks that that two monsters had been destroyed and in particular Colonel Philip Green who Lord Patrick William said, "Hitler came back in the form of Green to try to continue his dirty work, but he was foiled by Flint The Immortal by The Ebola Virus."
One must a coward and genocidal madman and the other one was a genocide madman who came to his demise when Flint The Immortal surprised him by the dropping Ebola Virus upon his camp in the mountains of Montana.
Mabon is The Pagan Thanksgiving Day that is celebrated on September 21 and signifies the Pagan Year is about to end.
Lady Margaret and the other ladies prepared a meal that they were going to share with each other.
Their children were gathered there with them : Lord Frederick William Howard was 5 years old, Lady Jeanette Virginia was 3 years old, and Lord Phillip Carey was 4 years old.
Also invited was Lord Joshua Collins and his wife, Lady Naomi Collins, and their son, Lord Edward Collins who was 4 years old and Lord Phillip Craven and his wife, Lady Ann Gordon and their 3 year old son, Lord David Craven.
All the children play together and the adults come together to give thanks for the deliverance.
Lord Richard William Carey with Lady Karissa on his arm walks into Lord Andrew Charles' study and Lord Andrew Charles looks up " Can I help you?"
"We have come to tell you, Lord Andrew Charles, that Lady Karissa and I are having our first child in June of 2282. Don't try to claim my flesh and blood." Lord Richard William Carey tells him.
"You seem to forget that Lady Karissa and I are married and any children she may have by other men are my legal children." Lord Andrew Charles states, "but you are the father and this child is your heir/heiress and I can't take that from you."
"We are naming this child if it's a girl - Lady Caroline Matilda and if it's a boy, Lord Benjamin Lawrence Carey." Lord Richard William tells his second cousin.
Lady Karissa explains her reason for naming their child if a daughter, Lady Caroline Matilda, after the youngest but posthumously daughter of Prince Frederick of Wales who died all of a sudden three months before his last child, Princess Caroline Matilda was born and she was the granddaughter of King George II and Queen Caroline of Ansbach and the age of 17 she was married to her first cousin, King Christian VII of Denmark and they had King Frederick VI of Denmark and Princess Louisa Augusta of Denmark.
Queen Caroline Matilda, like her great-grandmother, Queen Sophia Charlotte of Celle died at the same castle in Celle, Germany, and neither saw their children again.
Lord Richard William Carey is a proud but humble young man who counts his blessings unlike Lord Andrew Charles.
Well, Lord Richard William Carey, Lady Karissa and their families celebrate Mabon, Samhain, the 12 days of Yuletide together, The Georgian New Year, Imbolc with that Lord Andrew Charles and Lady Karissa celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary together, they celebrate Ostara, Lady Elizabeth's 7th birthday together, and right before Lord Anthony's 2nd birthday of Lord Richard William Carey's 32nd birthday on June 17, 2232, Lady Karissa goes into labor and Lord David William Beck who has delivered Lady Elizabeth, Lady Samhain, and Lord Anthony arrives at Beltane Manor to ensure of a safe birth and delivery of Lord Richard William and Lady Karissa's first child together.
Lord David William Beck SR with his wife, Lady Katherine and their son, Lord David Beck II, Lord Richard Edward Howard JR with his wife, Lady Suzanne with their son, Lord Richard Edward III and Lord Frederick William Howard III, Lord Thomas William Howard and Lord Charles Andrew JR are with Lord Richard William Carey and Lord Andrew Charles and they are waiting for the news.
Finally, at 5 PM at Beltane Manor, the cries of a newborn child can be heard in the suite where Lady Karissa has given birth to all her children and Lord David William Beck calls out to Lord Richard William Carey, " You have a beautiful daughter, Lord Richard William Carey."
"Lady Karissa has named her "The Right and Honorable, Lady Caroline Matilda Carey." Lord David tells everyone.
Lord David washes Lady Caroline Matilda and he dresses her and he carries her out to her father and Lady Karissa is watching as Lord David places Lady Caroline Matilda in her arms and he looks at his heiress, " My daughter and my heiress." Lord Richard William tells everyone as he holds her.
Lady Elizabeth, Lady Samhain and Lord Anthony are brought into meet their new sister and it is Lord Anthony who bonds with Lady Caroline Matilda as they only 2 years apart in age, and two days Lord Anthony celebrates his 2nd birthday and he walks over to his baby sister and he places in her crib a baby doll that Lady Caroline Matilda will cherish all of her life.
Lady Elizabeth who is 8 years old with her little sister, Lady Samhain who isn't quite 7 years old yet walk over to where their mother is holding their new baby sister and Lady Elizabeth looks at her and says " She is my sister and she looks at her father who she rarely talks to and asks "What is her title, father?"
"Lady Elizabeth. Your sister will become the Duchess of Bedford Territory in time after her father, Lord Richard William Carey dies." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"Lord Richard William has a long life in front of him and I don't think your mother wants to lose him." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Lady Elizabeth walks over and she holds out her arms and Lord Richard William looks at Lady Karissa and she nods and he places Lady Caroline Matilda in her arms and Lady Samhain and she start to dance with Lady Caroline Matilda and they proclaim the victory over the patriarch that was started by their great-great-great-grandfather, Lord Patrick William Howard.
Standing by watching is Lady Suzanne Howard, Lady Katherine Beck and they smile, but Lord Anthony is joined by Lord Richard Edward III and Lord David William Beck II.
Lord Charles Andrew JR looks at his first cousin thrice removed and he says," Good Heavens, it looks like we will soon be outnumbered by women."
Lady Sarah tells their daughter, Lady Frederica to go join her nieces, Lady Elizabeth and Lady Samhain and Lady Frederica walks over to her nieces, and she looks at Lady Caroline Matilda and Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his youngest child, "She is your second cousin, as Lord Richard William is my first cousin thrice removed, and your first cousin once removed is Lord Frederick William Howard."
"I do think that Lady Frederica Wilhelmina is too young to understand who her first cousins are right now." Lady Sarah explains.
Lord Charles Andrew explains it this way to his youngest daughter, "Your great-grandfather, Lord Frederick William had four children, and Lady Caroline Matilda is her great-great-great-grandfather is your great-grandfather, Lord Frederick William Howard who had your grandfather, Lord Charles Andrew SR who the second of Lord Frederick William Howard and he is also the father of Lady Sophia Charlotte, your grand-Aunt who is the great-great-grandmother of Lady Caroline Matilda." Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his daughter
"Lady Frederica. We share the same ancestor, Lord John Howard 1st Duke of Norfolk and his wife, Lady Catharine de Moleyns." Lord Charles Andrew states proudly that we share the same maternal ancestors, Walter Devereux, 8th Baron Ferrers of Chartley and his wife, Lady Anne Ferrers, Anne de Ferrers, 8th Baroness Ferrers of Chartley in her own right." Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his daughter.
"My daughter, did you know that both of our noble ancestors fought and died side by side fighting for their sovereign, King Richard III who was killed the same day in August of 1485." Lord Charles Andrew JR tells her..
"Our ancestors were killed by an usurper name Henry Tudor who was the great-grandson of John of Gaunt and his third wife, Katherine Swynford and their granddaughter, Lady Margaret Beaufort who married Edmund Tudor and she had Henry Tudor." Lord Charles Andrew JR states, " I shouldn't complain because our ancestor son, Lord Thomas Howard married Lady Elizabeth Tinley and without these two people we wouldn't exist as they had ten children and four reached adulthood, Lord Thomas, Lady Elizabeth and Lord Edmund and all of them have children, Lord Thomas Howard had Lord Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey, Lady Elizabeth married Lord Thomas Boleyn and they had Lady Mary Boleyn who married your cousin's ancestor, Lord William Carey and they had Lady Catherine, and Lord Henry Carey and we can be really proud of Queen Anne Boleyn's daughter, Queen Elizabeth I of England as known as "Good Queen Bess and Gloriana." Lord Charles Andrew JR explains.
Lord Andrew Charles smiles " We come from a proud, noble family and Queen Elizabeth was always generous to her mother's side of the family included "The Butlers, The Carey's and The Howard's." Lord Andrew Charles tells his sister and he picks her up and he kisses her.
"I am sure that the day Princess Elizabeth became Queen of England in 1558, that her mother was smiling as she was escorted to London and the people in England celebrated the ascension of Queen Elizabeth and she ruled 45 years in England and she defeated King Phillip II of Spain." Lord Andrew Charles tells his little sister.
Lady Karissa gets out of bed and with the help of her ladies she gets dressed and walks out, " Alright Richard William Carey gives me Lady Caroline Matilda. Stop parading her around like she is some trophy." Lady Karissa tells Lord Richard William.
"Oh gee Karissa. Can't a man be proud of his child.?" Lord Richard William asks.
"Yes of course, when she gets older. You may show her off, but she has just been born and she needs her beauty rest." Lady Karissa states.
"Barbara, put Lady Samhain and Lord Anthony down for their naps, but Lady Elizabeth may remain as well as Lord Richard William Carey and Lord Andrew Charles." Lady Karissa tells everyone one.
Lady Karissa carrying Lady Caroline Matilda in her arms walks back into her suite with Lady Elizabeth, Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William Carey.
Lady Karissa kisses Lady Caroline Matilda and she places her in her cradle and Lady Elizabeth climbs up on her mother's bed and Lady Karissa holds Lady Elizabeth in her arms and Lady Elizabeth falls asleep due to the excitement.
