The Birth of Lord Richard William Carey and Lady Karissa second child, Lord Benjamin L Carey, Duke of Langley
Four and half years have gone by since the birth of Lord Albert Edward Howard and Lord Richard William Carey and Lady Karissa are expecting their second child and although Lord Richard William isn't a finicky man like every man he longs for a son to carry on his surname.
Lord Richard William and Lady Karissa's second child is expected around Mabon of 2289, and Lady Karissa has chosen the names for their child, if it's a son Lord Benjamin Lawrence Carey and if it's another daughter, Lady Benjamina Laura Carey.
Lord Richard William Carey likes the fact that they are breaking away from the old names that the Howard's and Carey's have used for years.
Lady Karissa tells Lord Richard William is Benjamin in Hebrew meaning " son of the right arm" and Laura means "Victorious in spirit."
Lord Richard William is excited about becoming a father for the second time and he will be nearly 39 years old when he becomes a father for the second time.
Lord Richard William with Lady Karissa go and tell Lord Andrew Charles in his study and he looks at from his desk and says, "Lady Karissa has given me four children and she promised you two children and she is keeping with her promise. We still have one more child to go."
"I am a patient man and our last child won't be 2294 and he or she won't be born in 2295." Lord Andrew Charles explains.
Lord Andrew Charles looks at Lord Richard William Carey and he asks "You are expecting to get a son?"
"I really don't care what our child Lord Andrew Charles is?" Lord Richard William tells him.
"Lady Karissa has picked out the names for our child, if it is our son, Lord Benjamin Lawrence and if we have a second daughter, Lady Benjamina Laura Carey." Lord Richard William tells him.
"Well, we are finally breaking away from our same old boring names." Lord Andrew Charles says with a laugh " The same old boring recycled names."
Lady Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William and she says " I have given you four children, Lord Andrew Charles and I have given you two children. Do you have any complaints, tell me now?"
Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William tell her "No we have no complaints."
"I am glad to hear it as both Lady Elizabeth and Lady Caroline Matilda will follow you to become Duchesses." Lady Karissa states.
Lady Elizabeth aged 13 years old walks in with Lady Caroline Matilda aged 5 year old and Lady Samhain aged 12 years old and Lady Karissa tells them " Look good now. Here is the future of Star Base 12."
Lady Elizabeth had always been a leader and never a follower and she stands with her two sisters and she says, "I may only be 13 years old, but I will become the Duchess of Norfolk Territory."
"I will fulfill my destiny as Duchess of Norfolk Territory." Lady Elizabeth tells him.
"Aunt Lady Charlotte Augusta told you that you had destiny to fulfill and so do I." Lady Elizabeth tells him.
"I wasn't the youngest child and you were. I am the oldest child and it's my legacy and right." Lady Elizabeth explains.
Lord Andrew Charles looks at Lady Elizabeth "I never said that you wouldn't fulfill your destiny." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Elizabeth.
"I know that you don't believe me but Lady Elizabeth but I love you." Lord Andrew Charles tells her, "You remind me when I was young like you back in 2263 when I was 13 years old."
"You have one luxury that I didn't have and you weren't separated from your sisters and brothers." Lord Andrew Charles tells his daughter.
"Momma, won't let it happen." Lady Elizabeth tells her father, "I won't lose my sisters and brothers like you did."
Lord Andrew Charles tries to walk towards Lady Elizabeth and she starts to scream "Stay away from me. You have two sons."
Lord Charles Andrew JR looks at his son " Lord Andrew Charles. Stay away from my heiress. You are making her upset." Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his son.
Lady Karissa walks over to her daughter, "Lady Bess. Lord Andrew Charles is your father." Lady Karissa explains.
"When has he ever been a father to me?" Lady Bess asks.
"Fair enough, Lady Elizabeth. He hasn't been a very attentive father to Lady Samhain or you." Lady Karissa explains, " but don't think that will be his own mistake that he will have to live with for the rest of his life." Lady Karissa tells her.
Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Karissa " Lady Elizabeth won't let me hold her." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"It is your own fault." Lady Karissa explains. "You never visited her in the nursery when she was growing up."
"Everyone has a favorite child, Lord Andrew Charles. I have my favorite but I love all my children and spend time with them." Lady Karissa states.
Lady Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and she tells him " I am going to take the children out into the garden, but Lord Albert is too young."
"Barbara will take care of Lord Albert Edward in the nursery and Lady Karissa calls her children, Lady Elizabeth, Lady Samhain, Lord Anthony and Lady Caroline Matilda to her side and they walk out to the garden.
Lady Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and she takes her children out to the garden.
Lord Richard William Carey looks at Lord Andrew Charles JR and he says " I see that you have managed to make Lady Elizabeth to avoid you."
"It wasn't my intention." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lord Richard William Carey.
"Lady Elizabeth wants nothing to do with you." Lord Richard William tells Lord Andrew Charles.
"You don't realize that you did." Lord Richard William tells Lord Andrew Charles.
Lady Karissa takes her children out in the garden and she sits down on her French Provincial furniture and she lets the children play.
Lady Karissa watches the children play in the garden and she doesn't care about anything but to watch her children and let them grow.
Lady Karissa and Lord Richard William Carey with their family celebrate Yuletide, Imbolc, and they celebrate their 14 wedding anniversary together, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, and Lammas goes an comes and finally September arrives and Lady Karissa enters her final semester of pregnancy and Lord Richard William and Lady Karissa wait together to for their second to be born.
Lady Karissa goes into Labor on Mabon, September 22, 2289 which is the Pagan Thanksgiving. Pagans, Wicca, and witches are blessed to celebrate two Thanksgivings and on Mabon they gather and give thanks for a bountiful past year and thank their Gods and Goddesses give thanks for everything that they have received.
Lord David William Beck is called in to help Lady Karissa give birth and deliver their second child and Lord David William Beck and Lady Katherine with Lord David William and Lady Davina Edwina arrive at Beltane Manor.
Lady Karissa is surrounded by Lady Elizabeth who is 14, Lady Samhain isn't quite 13 years old, Lord Anthony is 9, Lady Caroline Matilda is 7 years old and Lord Albert is only 4 years old.
All the children are gathered around and of course when Lady Elizabeth sees her father she starts to scream " Stay away from my mother and my sisters and brothers. I am calling my grandfather."
Lord Richard William walks over to where Lady Elizabeth and he tells her " Lady Elizabeth settled down and no one is going to hurt your mother and siblings."
"Tell my father to leave this room." Lady Elizabeth asks.
"Lady Elizabeth, your father has every right to be in this room with your mom and me." Lord Richard William states " I am not his biggest fan either."
Lord Charles Andrew JR arrives and he sees that Lady Elizabeth is distraught and he asks, "Who is upsetting my heiress.?"
Lady Karissa answers, "Lord Andrew Charles. Every time Lady Bess sees her father it throws her in a tizzy."
"Lord Andrew Charles, I have told you not to upset Lady Elizabeth." Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his son.
"I didn't do anything to Lady Elizabeth. I just tried to approach her." Lord Andrew Charles states.
"It is apparent that Lady Elizabeth and you are never going to get along and I am afraid you brought it on yourself when you neglected her." Lord Charles Andrew JR states.
"Lady Elizabeth. Your father is trying to bridge the gap between you. For my sake try." Lord Charles Andrew JR asks her.
"I will for you grandpa." Lady Elizabeth tells him and Lady Elizabeth allows Lord Andrew Charles to approach and Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Elizabeth " I know that you don't believe me Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane, but I love you and you my heiress."
Lady Elizabeth looks at her father " Father, you have never taken an interest in me like my grandfather, Cousin Lord Richard William and my dear mom." Lady Elizabeth tells him.
"Lady Elizabeth. I am sorry if I haven't spent any time with your brothers and sisters." Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
"You can help bring us into the world, but once we arrive you forget about us as we cease to exist." Lady Elizabeth tells him.
" I have been very busy, Lady Elizabeth." Lord Andrew Charles explains.
"Too busy to visit your children." Lady Elizabeth asks.
"I hope when I marry that my husband doesn't neglect our children. I am sorry grandfather but Norfolk Territory doesn't mean as much as my family." Lady Elizabeth states.
"I will not neglect my children for the sake of Norfolk Territory." Lady Elizabeth tells her grandfather.
Lady Karissa smiles and Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his eldest grandchild, "I am proud of you, Lady Elizabeth. Your mother raised you right."
"Thank you Lord Charles Andrew. I have tried." Lady Karissa tells him.
"Family must come first if the Howard's, Carey's are to survive." Lady Karissa states.
"Your noble ancestor, Lord John Howard only had one son that survived but his son had several sons that lived and with their wives they had children both sons and daughters that continued to may sure what Sir John Howard and Lady Joan of Cornwall started together." Lady Karissa states.
"I am just sorry to see that Lord Thomas Howard the third Duke of Norfolk couldn't get along with Lady Ann Stafford but she gave him a son, Lord Henry Howard but it was son that succeeded him as Duke of Norfolk." Lady Karissa explains.
Lady Karissa looks at Lord David and he has seen the look before and they leave the living room together and around 2 PM, the cries of a newborn child can be heard and Lord David is excited and he calls "It's a son, Lord Richard William Carey."
Lord Richard William rushes in with Lady Caroline Matilda and he sees Lady Karissa holding their son, Lord Benjamin Lawrence in her arms.
Lady Karissa holds Lord Benjamin Lawrence in her arms and Lord Richard William smiles as he walks over to Lady Karissa and he looks down "Happy Mabon, Lord Richard William. Here is my present to you." Lady Karissa tells him.
Lord Richard William Carey is given their son to hold and he looks down at their son, Lord Benjamin Lawrence and he says " He is handsome."
"You are impartial I am afraid." Lady Karissa tells him.
Lord Andrew Charles walks over to his second cousin and he looks down at his second cousin once removed and he proclaims " Lord Benjamin Lawrence will become Duke of Langley in his great-great-great-grandfather's name."
Lord Richard William Carey walks out with their son, Lord Benjamin Lawrence in his arms and he presents him to his second cousin thrice removed, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, and to his second cousin once removed, Lord Thomas William Howard, Lord Richard Edward Howard II his second cousin once removed, and to his sister, Lady Elizabeth, Lady Samhain, Lord Anthony and Lord Albert Edward, but it is Lady Caroline Matilda is the proudest as Lord Benjamin Lawrence is her brother and they share the same father and mother, but it Lord Albert Edward who Lord Benjamin Lawrence bonds with the most.
Lord Albert Edward and Lord Benjamin Lawrence are only four years apart in age, but Lord Anthony walks over to his new brother, Lord Benny and he gives his little brother a hand carved statue of Lord John Howard, first Duke of Norfolk."
"This is for you Little Duke of Langley." Lord Anthony tells his brother. "It's a hand carved statue of Lord John Howard, The First Howard Duke of Norfolk."
Lady Elizabeth walks over to her mother "Oh momma. He is perfect." Lady Elizabeth exclaims.
"Thank you Lady Bess. " Lady Karissa tells her
Lady Elizabeth holds out her arms and Lord Richard William is reluctant to let Lady Elizabeth hold Lord Benny but Lady Karissa nods it 's alright and Lord Richard William places him in her arms and Lady Elizabeth holds her brother in her arms and she kisses and she walks him out to her father " Look at my new brother, father. Isn't he grand."
"Why of course, Lady Elizabeth. He is a Howard through his great-great-grandmother, Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard and through your great-great-great-grandfather, Lord Frederick William Howard." Lord Andrew Charles tells Lady Elizabeth.
"He is also a Carey, Bourbon, and Knolly, and that makes pretty good genetics if you ask me." Lord Andrew Charles tells his daughter, Lady Elizabeth.
Lord Charles Andrew JR walks over and he says "He looks like his great-great-grandfather, Lord George Carey who married Lady Isabella Bourbon."
"Lord George was the best first cousin I ever had and we were born in 2210 and I lost him he was 60 year old in 2270, and I lost his son, Lord Robert in the very same year at the age of 40 years old, but at least I have my first cousin thrice removed, Lord Richard William Carey who is the great-grandson of my dear late Aunt, Lady Sophia Dorothea and I have her great-great-grandchildren to remind me of her." Lord Charles Andrew tells Lord Richard William.
Lord Benjamin Lawrence arrives on Mabon in 2289 and all the Howard's, Beck's and Carey's give thanks to Odin for a new life
